"Loved the hotel so much we made it our Athens base while island hopping in Greece, stayed on 3 different occations. Fine treatment from hotel staff. Just a few negative points: Concierge was hit-or-miss and at times they didn't even call back with information or took long time - must be precice with request but later met face-to-face and had excellent results. Shower design looks good but not functional - gets water outside - reminds me of the IBM comercial with regards to innovation 'unless it works it's just showing off.' Elegant room service but messed up one entree twice - we ended up giving-up on trying to fix it. Excellent American coffee and always served with delicious little cookies. Exquisite view, quiet rooms in a very busy location. Rooftop restaurant is an absolute MUST - an experience never to forget. Was warned by a friend to request a nice room with view because if not specified, may get stuck in an interior room - had no trouble with that. Treated us like royalty and showed appreciation for our repeat visit."

"Our suite was amazing, with a huge terrace overlooking Parliament, the city square and across to the Acropolis. We had made reservations for dinner in the restaurant upstairs, but cancelled and had room service to our terrace, which shared the very same view as the restaurant, merely one floor below. The staff were efficient, friendly and couldn't have done more to make our time in the Grande Bretagne a very special experience. Food and wine was world class, made all the more enjoyable by the wonderful staff. We are traveling again to Athens in July 07, and hope to book room 602 again and enjoy another memorable holiday experience. Worthy of special mention is the General Manager, who made a point of coming to our room to serve our 3 course dinner on the terrace. Pleasant, polite, engaging and absolutely charming. My partner Toby and I could not more highly recommend this hotel."
